Mrs. Ivey is a main character in the Freeform drama, The Watchful Eye. She is an affluent and lifelong resident of The Greybourne who 'rules the roost' and is accustomed to getting what she wants through a combination of wealth, power, and sheer force of will.
When Elena first arrives at the Greybourne, Mrs. Ivey tells her that the building is a dangerous place, and people will do despicable things to get their hands on a fortune. She enlists Elena to be her eyes and ears around the Greybourne and to report anything she sees or hears out of the ordinary back to her.
